Mothers Helping Others Inc. was formed as a charitable organisation designed to help young families within Australia and internationally through designated projects.
MHO's first project is our book "Cyclone Larry - Tales of Survival from the children of North Queensland".
This book is a collection of stories, poems and artworks from the Children of North Queensland who were affected by Cyclone Larry. It tells of their experiences before, during and after the event.
The proceeds from the sale of this book go towards our Community Playgrounds Project. This project will see the upgrading and refurbishment of the damaged playgrounds in the area. Our group will raise the needed finances and then oversee the refurbishment.
We hope that through our projects, we will be able to improve physical conditions of facilities used by families and their children.
But most importantly, we hope to empower others, despite whatever hardships they face, to be proactive members of their communities and foster the belief that they can make a difference.
